Michael M is the creation of Michael Mekesian who immigrated to the United States from Armenia in 1980. Upon arrival he set out to accomplish his long-held dreams with a belief that if you dedicate yourself to working hard “In America, you can do better.” A fellow Armenian jewelry manufacturer admired Michael’s work ethic and took him under his wing, teaching him English and the skills of a master jeweler. Within five years the devotion to hard work paid off for Michael who founded his own jewelry factory eventually employing fifty fellow jewelers. In 2007, Michael’s eldest son, Peter, joined him and the father-son team envisioned a new collection of superior bridal designs with sophisticated European-inspired styling and unmatched quality. Michael M designs boast distinctive “Euro” shanks, custom alloyed metals of rich lustrous color, and master diamond setting. It is this meticulous attention to detail that truly sets Michael M apart.
