Jewelry Expo stands behind all of the jewelry items that we offer. All Jewelry Expo pieces are accompanied by a lifetime warranty covering any defects that arise as a result of manufacturing. If you believe your ring may possess any of these rare manufacturing defects we encourage you to contact us so that we can arrange to evaluate the piece.
If it is found that the damage was the result of manufacturing, Jewelry Expo, will repair or replace the item at our expense. In addition, to the guarantees provided by Jewelry Expo, many of our pieces also boast warranties through their respective designer. Those specific policies are listed separately below.
Please keep in mind that items of jewelry are designed to be worn daily and as a result there is regular “wear and tear” that is not considered to be a result of any manufacturing defects. Here are a few examples of common issues arising from regular wear and tear:
-Discoloration of metals due to outside contact with cosmetics, direct exposure to chemicals in the household, or immersion in pools/hot tubs.
-Metal and prongs will wear down over time and can require additional restoration in order to maintain their strength and finishes.
-Prongs catching on clothing or outside surfaces can cause them to pull away. This can result in the loss of a diamond or gemstone.
-The loss of a diamond or gemstone due to excessive contact or sharp impacts. It is industry standard for white gold jewelry to be Rhodium plated which results in a bright white surface finish. Over time due to regular wear and tear this surface plating will wear away and will need to be reapplied.
Jewelry Expo also offers the Jeweler’s Mutual Care plan which provides a lifetime warranty coverage on fees associated with loss of stones as well as regular wear and tear servicing fees. You can purchase these extended coverage plans at checkout for all Jewelry Expo items.
